Error 5 is EIO, so it seems the disk driver refuses to read from the disk and reports I/O errors for some reason. What kind of disk controller is used in your notebook? Is it an Intel chipset s-ata controller? Did you install with the Intel chipset a-sata controller set to AHCI mode? Or IDE P/ATA legacy emulation mode? Are there any kernel warning or error messages before the spa_import_rootpool error 5 ?
