I am so glad you posed this...I was starting to think I was going mad! I have a server with inbuilt intel nic's (e1000g0 + e1000g1 on Intel S3210SHLC mobo.) and am having this issue under snv_134. I do not have the issue under 111b.
The issue was evident my recent install of 134. After 3+ hours uptime, he nic would lose connectivity with the lan. A reboot is required to restore connectivity. I can not ping any other pc on the lan (I recal i could not ping itself either). The nic is configured with a static ip. Last night I rolled back to an earlier BE thinking it was something I did that caused the stability issues. I am now waiting to see if it stays on the air. It has annoyed me so much that last night I wrote a simple script to ping www.google.com every minute so I would know what time it dropped off. At this stage my only option is looking like extending the script to reboot the server when connectivity is lost for x time....not good. What do you guys need to see to help debug this issue? -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-help mailing list opensolaris-help@opensolaris.org
