I installed previously Firefox browser v3.6.7 on my OpenSolaris. When I (as user "can23" with "roles=root" attribute in file /etc/user_attr) try to update "as usual" Firefox from Firefox menu help->Check for updates then Firefox tells me something about:
"...You do not have system permissions required to install it...." When I start Firefox instead with pfexec /usr/bin/firefox then Update works through the menu mentioned above. Hmm, why is it not possible to update Firefox as user with roles=root ?
