Duh, sorry for the late answer (I thought I'd get a mail notification about
it...)

So...
I have an i975x motherboard (an Asus WS series), and there are only 4 ICH sata
ports, the other four are no-go for Solaris (JMicron controller if I'm not
mistaken).
The point would be that I'm about to buy a few ssd drives, so
a.) I need more ports
b.) I thought I'd go for some future-proof (sata III) technology.

"maybe sata II" is there since most of the current ssds are at the edge of the
sata II bandwidth, but not over it - so if I can't find sataIII/usb 3
controller that works under with a sata II will do.
On the other hand a friend of mine bought some yummy LSI/HP sas controllers on
ebay for around ~70$, and it seems like I'll get one too.
True, "only" sata II, but fully supported by Solaris 10 (and upwards)

Thanks for the advice!
(And sorry for being late :))
