I'm just going to jump to assumptions and guess you have some unsupported hardware there. Here are a few suggestions: * Try going into BIOS and disabling anything you don't need. In particular, a UART sounds like a serial port or modem, maybe sound card. * If you're using opensolaris 2009.06, why don't you try a more recent build, from genunix.org * Even the latest on genunix is extremely old, since opensolaris is dead. The new replacements are Solaris 11 Express, and OpenIndiana. (Oracle made it closed-source, to create Solaris 11, and openindiana is the open-source community fork, independent of oracle.) Sol11Exp is only legal to use for development purposes (read the license agreement when you download) but it's honor-system enforced, so ssssshhh. Openindiana is still extremely new, and as such, not extremely stable. But it's improving, and might work for you. Good luck. _______________________________________________ opensolaris-help mailing list opensolaris-help@opensolaris.org
