Been going back through some of the older opensolaris installs since I'm dead
in the water with the new product and older machines. Opensolaris Korona 4.4.5

seems to have the gparted gui behavior on solaris partition you are looking
for.I did not actually try shrinking or expanding one of my solaris partitions
but the behavior acts like it will.
