Well, there is no good way. I mean such that *always* works. At least
not that I know of... One can examine output from 'showrev -p', but it
doesn't work in network installations when software is installed on
server.

I think the best one can do is to explicitely mention this (in comments
in Configure, in INSTALL, etc.) and give the user the responsibility to
read the note and make sure they've patched their systems.
