I'm actually in the process of writing some simple "man page" like
documents for the openssl command line utility. I haven't mentioned it
because its far from complete and I haven't included any of the complex
commands like x509, req or ca yet.
It might be better if the relevant config file stuff was part of the
appropriate commands page and a separate file explaining the general
properties (environment variable stuff etc).
I can include some of your text though if you've no objections.
