Thank you very much for your contribution. I will make a note of its
existance for my records.
I already wrote a complete OpenSSL/imap-4.7 package (it is called the "SSL
IMAP Patchkit") which provides full client and server SSL/TLS support for
IMAP, POP3, and other protocols. Unfortunately, because of US export control
laws, it is not available to people outside of the US, or even generally
available to people inside the US.
For this reason, I can not integrate or distribute your SSL patches with my
software; and if I could, I would distribute the complete implementation that
I've written.
However, I encourage you (very strongly!) to publicize the existance of your
patches, and to make them available to other people yourself. You don't have
to worry about US export laws. You have to worry about Romanian export laws,
but that's your problem!! ;-)
Thank you for your hard work. It's a shame that so many people have had to
duplicate work that I've already done, but it can't be helped...
