Do the following:
touch Makefile.org
then things should go back to normal.
As to why? Check the datestamp (using 'ls -l') of Makefile.org.
Compare that to the current datestamp of your computer (using
'date'). You'll probably see that your computer thinks it's in the
past. The more unlikely, but it has happened to me once, is that
Makefile.org is of a future date.
