RV: Fail in test BN_sqr

I have a problem when I am trying to install OpenSSL on a DEC alpha.
I am doing a 'make test' and test 'BN_sqr' fail.
Why? Can you help me?

The version of DEC alpha is Digital UNIX V4.0F  (Rev. 1229)
The version of OpenSSL is 0.9.5.
