The old code should still be usable in 0.9.7 and maybe several versions
afterwards, it will however vanish someday...
New applications for OpenSSL 0.9.7 onwards should only use the new ASN1
code and existing applications using the old version should convert to
the new form: hopefully it shouldn't be too hard even with the current
lack of documentation.
