Please try tomorrow's 0.9.7 snapshot (20021220), it should have the install problems 
fixed.

pkginfo is an incorrect word, and should be pkgconfig.  It will contain the file 
openssl.pc, which is to be used by the package pkg-config (you can find it on the net).
