Hi, I pulled down openssl-0.9.7-stable-SNAP-20021226.tar.gz, configure, compiled, tested, installed. Things installed ok (previous problem fixed), except that I found a pkgconfig directory in the lib subdir. It contained a small file called "openssl.pc". Maybe this isn't needed? 0.9.6 didn't have it.
Except for the pkgconfig dir hanging around, problem fixed. ----------------------------------- Jeff A.
