crespin,

i did a post related to windows and have been waiting 3 days for anyone to
comment. it seems almost everyone on this list is in unix land.

i can't help you directly with your problem, but i can tell you i was able
to build the openssl static library and dll using the supplied make files
using the command line version of the visual c++ compiler. (to do this i had
to up the environment space and run the visuall c++ setup bat file.)

the openssl program (a utilitiy that can do about anything with the ssl dll)
works in command line mode. i'm now trying to find a sample openssl.cnf file
so i can get producing a self-signed certificat.

if you're interested in more details on the successful builds, let me know.

Subject: Problem with the installation of openssl-0.9.4

The first command doesn't work, the compilator doesn't find the file
"strict.pm" , I don't understand why it looks for this file, it is not in
your package.

(NL7309) D:\openssl-0.9.4>ccperl Configure VC-WIN32
Can't locate strict.pm in @INC at Configure line 9.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at Configure line 9.

I hope you'll help me.

Regards.

CRESPIN Julien
