My experience also.  
One of the best arguments for using OSS in commercial products.

They want a "single point of contact" that is responsible (and liable)
for the sources.  The "single point" they sent their money too.  ;)

The response:
"My code's vendor *claims* to have the source in escrow."
Rarely works in real life.
