Thanks, it looks like from the libvirt side, we are only going to be able to provide a standalone libvirt-python on PyPI that works back to version 0.9.11. Prior to 0.9.11 libvirt did not install its API description, which is a pre-requisite for the python bindings to build. Fortunately 0.9.11 lines up with all the distros we've got listed so far.
