I want to explore the linkage between the proposed exclusive use filter
and scheduling a little more. At the Icehouse summit I heard the concern
that without advance preparation, there may well be zero hosts that are
acceptable. Why is that not a concern now?
What does the Nova scheduler do now about maintaining a pool of completely
unused hosts?
Does Nova regularly migrate VMs in order to achieve some policy of
maintaining unused hosts, or some other sort of balance?
Does nova-boot now migrate VMs in the case where the only possible
packings require moving existing VMs?
Is migration really so non-disruptive to the VM's user that Nova can do it
freely?
