I'll let the Nova devs speak, but in that specific case it might make
sense to patch the Nova code to support both API versions. That would
facilitate the migration to 0.6.0-style code.

At some point in the future (when 0.6.0 is everywhere) we could bump the
dep to >=0.6.0 and remove the compatibility code.
