What about Debian/KFreeBSD for nova-volume? Debian testing (wheezy) with FreeBSD kernel provides support for both OpenStack (nova-volume) and ZFS. We are deploying a little cloud for testing purposes and it will probably be one of the alternatives we will test for storage.
