I keep seeing this referred to, but I can't find any reference to it anywhere, I've glanced through the opensuse mail archives, opensuse news, Novell news, searched the Novell site (kernel remove/ban closed source/non-GPL), same with Google, for such a big change, it doesn't seem to have hit any news sites... Either that or the announcement doesn't include any of the keywords above... I would like to understand exactly what is involved in this decision and how it may affect me (E.g. I need the nVidia drivers currently for dual head and 3D, will these still be on YOU updates, or are they totally not available to SUSE customers through official channels? If the latter, how are SUSE getting around such restrictions to ensure their customers are unaffected by such a decision?). The only thing I found in the notes was the bit about kpm_ modules in Beta 4 in the announce list. I don't want to start ranting without knowing the facts, I also don't want to upgrade my dual-head set-up to 10.1 only to find I don't get any X afterwards...
