I agree. I still hear the tremours of the failed explantion on the fact that Gnome would be default instead of KDE on Novell Desktop. So perhaps a clear and unmistakable press-release is in order. When done rightly, it can be a lot of goodwill from the Linux comunity. When done wrong, it can hurt bad, real bad and explaining afterwards will be impossible.
