After a quick test the backtrace generated can be completely useless without the -debug package or it can be useful but without line numbers. So I would rather make gdb a dependency on kdebase than on the -debug packages. I wonder if GNOME or other application have a similar backtrace generation tool or not, but if they do, the same dependency should be introduced there as well.
