So it works for you before YaST? That would indeed be strange.
I see the boot menu and can use F2 (or F3) to select 800x600 instead the
"right" 1280x1024.
If I dont "falsify" the resolution there, it runs into "out of range"
display and black screen.
Best would be to add an F key for "frequency".
