Suse Linux / open Suse / OPENsuse / OpEnSuSe ... whatever it is ;-) version 10.2 will have CUPS 1.2 and Gutenprint. Note that there are incompatibilities (not backward compatible) both for CUPS 1.1 versus CUPS 1.2 and for Gimp-Print versus Gutenprint. I.e. prefer a new setup from scratch of your printing system and all your print queues.
