I did it the hard way - removing all zypp- and zmd-stuff in /var/lib. Worked, 
too ;). I can now add installation sources at least with Yast. 

However, Yast gives very inconvenient names to the installation sources (e.g. 
the current date for the factory stuff - can this be changed???), so I tried 
again to add the very same URL with rug, where the name can be chosen.
