One thing is official logo that is strictly defined.

The other thing is what we can do to create derivatives. 
All derivatives are not openSUSE logos, just  artistic play on the logo 
subject. 

Under "improper logo use":
http://en.opensuse.org/File:Opensuse-donts-preview.png
you can see examples of logos that are similar to official, but can't be 
considered as official. 

BTW, even the logo on http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Artwork_brand is not 
really official :)
