preload is there already. Not prePRE as this is currently done only via manual steps anyhow. With prelink I am just not sure if it makes any real world difference. I rather have people report back and manually do it. If you want prelink make sure /etc/sysconfig/prelink has this USE_PRELINK="yes" and then run SuSEconfig > > On 10/9/05, Andreas Girardet <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >> >> >>> On Mon, Oct 10, 2005 at 1:36 pm, in message >> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, >> [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: >> > Any word on when Slick Final will be out? >> > >> > If I install base Suse 10..what are the steps to "upgrade" to Slick? >> >> If you want SLICK final, then download and install the KDE 1CDinstaller >> final: >> >> 1 CD install site >> >> Then put this into >> >> /etc/apt/sources.list >> >> >> rpm http://ftp4.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/apt SuSE/10.0- i386 rpmkeys >> base java update extra suser- jengelh suser- guru usr- local- bin >> suser- jogley suser- agirardet packman packman- i686 wine suse- people >> suse- projects security >> rpm ftp://opensuse.linux.co.nz/pub/ apt/10.0 super >> >> >> >> apt- get update >> apt- get install kynaptic libxine1 >> apt- get install kernel >> apt- get dist- upgrade >> >> And you should reboot >> >> and you have SLICK final.
