I attempted to install the Gimp Help library using SMART and received the message that I would have to downgrade the version of Gimp that was installed ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) to the earlier one ([EMAIL PROTECTED]).
Fair enough so I proceeded, and the install worked well. However, when I ran SuSEconfig, I got many prelink errors about missing dependencies for the various plugins. A sample from the log follows: /usr/sbin/prelink: /opt/gnome/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/aa: Could not find one of the dependencies /usr/sbin/prelink: /opt/gnome/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/fp: Could not find one of the dependencies /usr/sbin/prelink: /opt/gnome/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/CEL: Could not find one of the dependencies /usr/sbin/prelink: /opt/gnome/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/bmp: Could not find one of the dependencies /usr/sbin/prelink: /opt/gnome/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/dog: Could not find one of the dependencies /usr/sbin/prelink: /opt/gnome/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/gbr: Could not find one of the dependencies /usr/sbin/prelink: /opt/gnome/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/gee: Could not find one of the dependencies /usr/sbin/prelink: /opt/gnome/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/gif: Could not find one of the dependencies /usr/sbin/prelink: /opt/gnome/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/gih: Could not find one of the dependencies /usr/sbin/prelink: /opt/gnome/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/gtm: Could not find one of the dependencies /usr/sbin/prelink: /opt/gnome/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/hot: Could not find one of the dependencies /usr/sbin/prelink: /opt/gnome/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/lic: Could not find one of the dependencies /usr/sbin/prelink: /opt/gnome/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/mng: Could not find one of the dependencies /usr/sbin/prelink: /opt/gnome/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/pat: Could not find one of the dependencies /usr/sbin/prelink: /opt/gnome/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/pcx: Could not find one of the dependencies /usr/sbin/prelink: /opt/gnome/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/pix: Could not find one of the dependencies /usr/sbin/prelink: /opt/gnome/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/png: Could not find one of the dependencies /usr/sbin/prelink: /opt/gnome/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/pnm: Could not find one of the dependencies Needless to say Gimp did not work after this. I re-installed the newer version, it prelinked properly, and all is well except that I don't have the help library. Any suggestions? Thanks...
