In fact, there is a direct link at openSUSE wiki, at the place I thought
most suitable:
http://en.opensuse.org/Documentation#Developer_Documentation

I prefer to have it done this way, the version on Novell's site is
regularly updated from SVN. And at the same repository lies HTML version
also - it would be good enough to link it directly from the wiki I
think, I just did not know that someone would like to have a HTML
version. Here is a link to all the files:
http://forgeftp.novell.com//library/SUSE%20Package%20Conventions/

Well, I also do not think this is a good idea. SPC is a part of much
larger documented maintained in SUSE (I am its maintainer) and it does
not make sense to make a version different from an upstream version.

I will gladly incorporate any information, hints or comennts someone
sends me - it would make sense to create a wiki page with instructions
how to contribute to SPC.
