Open vSwitch works with OpenStack via http://wiki.openstack.org/Quantum Open vSwitch is backwards compatible with normal bridging, but more integration work is necessary to take advantage of its advanced functionality. Ganeti, OpenNebula, and OpenStack are somewhat similar in function (cloud orchestration), but appear to serve different specific audiences and use cases. A couple other projects that you might want to have on your list of open source cloud projects are: Nimbus XCP CloudStack OpenQRM Zentific Abiquo XCP has Open vSwitch support. OpenStack and XCP also work together. CloudStack and XCP work together. Hope that helps.
