I strongly agree that the categorization of the wiki pages needs work,
but we have a few problems. First, I'm not sure why, but I couldn't
see any SLC's on your page. What I could see of the TLCs looks very
good, although I'm sure there are some things that could be added.
Candidates might include installation and user environments. I agree
that "documentation" does not need to be there, particularly since it is
in the left hand column.
Second, why do you feel the applications need to be TLCs? This would
lead to an ever growing list and would seriously clutter the TLC page.
Unless they could be put in a separate column they need to be lowered to
SLC status.
Third, and most difficult, we do not have much (any?) control over how
the TLCs are displayed, unless you propose building (and maintaining) a
manual TLC page. In particular, the wiki software insists on listing
the TLCs alphabetically, which is most unhelpful. The inclusion of
"Category:" on every line seriously clutters things up. It would also
be nice to be able to include a sub-heading to clarify the categories.
Hmmm, maybe a manual page _would_ work best. If we kept the list fairly
stable, and maybe had a way of automatically categorizing all new
category pages.
