The graphical slogan is a problem, not only in the wiki. On the other 
side, it looks much better than using a "normal" sans-serif font.

Therefore I'd put the focus on how to make image generation easier ;-)

Is it possible to have an slogan image generator online, with restricted 
access to, say, wiki-admins? I know this isn't a problem from the 
technical POV (a htpasswd-protected PHP script can generate the image 
easily) - the question is if the font license permits this.

If this is not possible, someone @SUSE will have to create the images. 
(Sorry, but unless there's a better way...)  I'd say this takes less 
than a minute when you have created a template in GIMP and only change 
(read: copy&paste) the text.
