But the reason is "higher level": Tux still does not run createrepo
against his repository.
So still you have to download his files and do a "rpm -Uhv" by hand.
I am sure this will get better soon.

Christoph claims to have released the createrepo thingy under
/pub/suse/../people/cthiel/ for each relevant distro, but I'm not sure
which RPM is right.
