I'll try to clarify my question. In the process of performing remote
management and support it would be helpful to know if a remote machine
has a local firewall enabled. We are running an agent on remote systems
and would like to be able to determine if a remote system has a firewall
enabled (remote agent would be providing this information).

I'm not an expert in Suse/IPTables, and am not sure if "iptables --list"
is what I am after since you may have firewall rules defined, but have
the firewall currently disabled.

Thank you,

Frank
