Just one of the many benefits of SUSE - happened with 3.5.0 too - which was also available for SUSE users ahead of time. I believe the reason is that major vendors get the source code early for making packages. And of course it probably doesn't hurt that a lot of KDE devs work at SUSE. I'm guessing 3.5.3 will be official in a matter of a couple of days.
