I'm afraid you're mixing fantasy with fact. If you read my major post on
the issue, you'll be reminded I didn't take a stand for or against new
forums, but chose to ask valid questions about the need, purpose,
situation, and scope. The process is/was clearly unfair to date, since
the participation of those most impacted by the proposal weren't a major
part of the discussion. It doesn't matter frankly if the mostly closed
viewpoint of the mailing list discusses the issue for 50 years if the
existing forums aren't a big part of that discussion. The process was
never defined, the key decision maker is still not yet identified
(although I've heard opinions on who that is), and the representatives
of the forums, when they tried to engage on the topic, were for the most
part completely ignored. In any part of the world I know of, that's not
considered fair. I think I bring an important viewpoint to this
particular issue. If we were talking kernel development, I'd be quiet as
usual, but in this case we're talking something I know a lot
about...SUSE forums.
