That may be because you don't have a KDE mirror setup in your Smart.
Here are a couple:
http://software.opensuse.org/download/KDE:/KDE3/SUSE_Linux_10.1/
(that one is for the KDE system files & the next one is for Backports or
programs)
http://software.opensuse.org/download/KDE:/Backports/SUSE_Linux_10.1/
That should get them for you. There are going to be quite a lot of
files though, so prepare yourself for a very long download. It should
fix your screensaver problem though.
