I don't know how to convince rug to install updates:

Well, thats not true. The zmd applet shows 4 updates available. In fact,
the 4 updates are 4 different versions of thunderbird. Well, so it's
really only one update, but still i'd like to install it.
If i try to install them via the applet ( what's the difference? ), the
update fails:
