Hi, I'm running SuSE 10.1 with fglrx-8.28.8. The last two months I worked with a Matrox G550, today I re-plugged a Radeon 9800pro. I configured the driver with sax and just changed DRI permissions to 666 manually. 3D acceleration is working fine.
But as soon as my hard disk starts working (some heavy work with rsync), my mouse pointer starts jumping/lagging when I move it. Same when I type some text, the input appears delayed on the screen. I can't really work anymore while rsync runs... With the Matrox G550 I didn't have these problems (although the same rsync has been running every day during the last months). So it must be sth. fglrx-dependent. Any idea what could be wrong here? Has anyone else seen this? Last time I was using the 9800pro I was running SuSE 9.0 with fglrx-8.24.8 and I didn't have these problems. cu, Frank -- Dipl.-Inform.
