At the moment, it's pretty useless. The SPAM filter should be fixed to
function correctly (i.e., correctly classify SPAM and remove it in order
to prevent distribution) or it should be removed, at least it should not
alter subject lines. This is annoying as it leads to crippled subjects
like "Re: SPAM: Re: Re: [opensuse] ..."

This makes no sense. The SPAM filter makes a wrong classification of
SPAM emails (at the moment), so "visual" inspection of subject lines
for the word "SPAM" does not work! Furthermore, there is the header
"X-Spam-Flag" - if you (as a user and list member) need to filter
emails, you should use this header (the same principle holds if you
filter emails from different mailing lists into different folders: use
the "X-Mailinglist" header and not the "[opnsuse]" in the subject line).

My opinion is simple: if emails are distributed, the subject line should
not be altered; if emails are classified as SPAM, they should not be
distributed in the first place!
