USB cables are 4 wires. Period. The specifications of the cable and connectors has not changed since USB 1.0, other than adding mini-connectors. Any fully rated usb 1.0 or 1.1 cable with the proper connectors will meet the usb 2.0 specs. There are no electronics. Its just wire. Go read the USB specs.
