Exactly right and if the language that is used by many large companies
(banks etc.) is open source, runs on Linux and I can earn my living
working with it that would be ideal. .NET is so similiar to Java and
the EE concepts it is funny. The one big difference is Sun uses java
for their mission critical stuff where as MS shy's away from .NET
since it has not been tested yet etc. ....

The whole Mono thing is strange the only huge befit for me as a
developer it offers is the ability to develop on Linux. Don't slam me
I admit I know next to nothing about it, but I think MS will put as
many tied into the OS features as possible for their official .NET
platform that Mono will have a hard time keeping up.
