You can, as the HCL states, download a driver from Realtek's site. It
now lists 1.0.5 which will compile on SUSE (I've been using a beta of
1.0.5 since I reported the compilation failure to Realtek). The problem
is that it causes full system lock-ups on my machine, so I actually use
a Netgear FA511 PCMCIA card. I'm trying the release version as a quick
diff shows it's not just a renumbered version of the beta. I'll report
back.

In the meantime if you want to get it download if from here[1] and note
that 'Site 1' doesn't have it yet - I used 'Site 3'.
