Firefox is crashing seemly at random. I was running 2.0.0.2 pre which I
think came with the update process on 10.2. I've gone and downloaded
2.0.0.1 from the firefox website. So far so good.
Anybody else having Firefox crash all the time?
Nick
about firefox in my 10.2 yields:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686 (x86_64); en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061023
SUSE/2.0-30 Firefox/2.0
The updater wants to install update version 2418-0 (mozilla security update
1.5.0.9 (2.0.0.1 for opensuse 10.2!!!!!!), also update version2.0.0.1-0.1.
I have 1.5.0.9 with SuSE 10.1 and it also started crashing randomly since a
few days. :-(
When FF starts to crash 'randomly' then often the problem can be fixed
by completely clearing FF's Cache (which is in your
/home/<yourloginname>/.mozilla directory).
You can either delete the Cache directory - it will get recreated when
FF is next started - or delete *all* the files in that directory. Try it
and see if this clears the problem.
Cheers.
