Last summer that was too true. Since then their prices have fallen very well 
indeed. 

Thanks for the info on the Linux LightScribe software. A major reason I 
hadn't bought one yet. My new excuse is the cost of the media. The 
LightScribe DVDs are now trending under $1 each in bulk so I am quickly 
running out of excuses not to get one.
