'No external SATA connection on this box. I'm thinking of waiting for SATA II
as the specs are much better.

Be careful of "SATA II".  I'm not really sure what it is, but it does
not always mean 300 MB/sec.  For that, "SATA 300" can be relied on
AFAIK.

If you have an unused internal SATA connector you can get a eSATA
adaptor cable.  I bought one from Micro Center recently.  ($5.99)

They also have a 2 connector version if you need 2 eSata connectors.
