Hello Jerry,

Thank you for your e-mail. I have tried to get the equivalent functions
of the function key on my vaio within KDE and have failed. I cannot
adjust the screen brightness within KDE. For the volume however, I can
use ALSA mixer. This was why I was after sonypi as it would enable me to
use the Fn+F4/F5 combination to adjust the screen brightness.
