In reference to the accelerators I only try to compile kqemu. I did not know about the other ones, in part due that I invest in Vmware and I have been happy with it. However qemu is so solid that that I will look into the other accelerators. Qemu run great without any accelerators if the guest is w2k for example but it was very slow for XP.
