This is correct.  Someone is working on something called KAider, which will 
replace it.

poEdit seems the only one aimed at the desktop, but KBabel is better IMO.  If 
you have a team you could use a web-based option like Kartouche (disclaimer: 
I wrote that) or Pootle, but they have drawbacks as well as benefits.
